These days, we’re all used to wearing masks during our regular daily errands to protect the health of ourselves and those around us. One downside to all of this mask-wearing, though, is maskne. Masks can trap heat, dirt, and debris and cause friction on our skin, causing breakouts. Thankfully, there are other types of skincare face masks you can incorporate into your weekly routine to give your skin some extra TLC. Save money in the process by trying this DIY face mask with ingredients straight from your kitchen.

Probiotic Yogurt Mask

Yogurt is not only good for your digestion, but it also has many benefits for your skin. It’s filled with probiotics and lactic acid, which add hydration and exfoliate the top layers of skin. Both honey and coconut oil have antibacterial properties, while turmeric is thought to calm inflammation. Mix up this easy mask recipe once a week to help ease breakouts and brighten your skin.

Ingredients:

- 1 tbs plain yogurt

- 1 tsp honey

- 1 tsp coconut oil

- ½ tsp turmeric

Directions:

1. Cleanse the skin using a gentle cleanser.

2. Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and apply onto the entire face, avoiding the eye area. Leave the mask on for about 15 minutes.

3. Gently wash away the mask with warm water and gently pat the skin dry with a towel.

3. Follow with a hydrating moisturizer
